We had another powerful protest speaking up for the animals exploited, tortured, and abused at the rodeo. ANIMALS ARE NOT ENTERTAINMENT. They do not want to be there for anyone’s amusement. If they had a choice, they would live in peace—just like all of us. The energy today was incredible, with some people doing their first speak-outs and others joining their first protest. Yesterday at the protest against the Goulburn Rodeo, some rodeo attendees pushed, threatened, and struck an activist in the face. The aggression outside mirrors the aggression animals suffer inside the arena. We felt deeply for the animals and all they were forced to go through. Some positives: a member of the public was so disturbed they filmed and shared the footage with us, and two others walked out once they read the signs and learned the realities of rodeos.
