The Eurasian lynx are in mating season. This normally laid back and easy going male is now actively marking and staking out his territory in a non aggressive way. Their gestation period is roughly 70 days. Despite its wide distribution throughout Europe and northern Asia, this largest of the lynx species is threatened by habitat loss and fragmentation, poaching and depletion of prey.
