On Monday Dec. 18, we released five wolves in Grand County and since then, we have released five more in Summit and Grand counties. This brings our total released wolves in Colorado to 10 — four males and six females. These releases complete our agreement with the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife to provide up to 10 wolves to Colorado. 🐺 The latest 'wolf activity' map released by Colorado Parks and Wildlife shows that at least one wolf was present in watersheds of the Denver metro area at some point between October 21 and November 25. As a reminder, this DOES NOT mean that wolves were present in that entire watershed, just that at some point a wolf was detected somewhere in that watershed. One of those watersheds also happens to cross I-25, showing how close to downtown Denver these watersheds stretch. #denver #denvercolorado
