The Final Season of Cobra Kai begins filming in early January 2024, but the new Karate Kid movie starts filming from March to April 2024, so that mean Ralph Macchio would have to fly back & forth to do both the Cobra Kai & the movie, also the movie is slated for a December 13, 2024 meaning that it will be released before Cobra Kai!

Jul 9, 2020 · IMO, Ralph Macchio was miscast as the karate kid in all three movies. The fight scenes were SO BAD! Miyagi would give the KK words of wisdom after he took a beating, he'd then do some poorly choreographed move after soul searching, and then win the title.

-Called Karate Kid. Doesn't learn Karate. -Correctly titled Kung Fu Kid in other countries. -Was flipped to Karate Kid in US to prey on nostalgia. -Made so much money because of the title, not because it's a good film. KARATE KID gives Danny the victory in spite of a completely illegal kick to the face. Interestingly, the Youtube series does a marvelous job of taking these concepts further, unpacking and confronting who these people become later in life as a result of what really was an absurdly negligent decision by the referees.
