Porsche has set a new Guinness World Record for the longest continuous vehicle drift on ice by an EV, using a Taycan GTS as its weapon of choice. For 46 minutes, Porsche Experience instructor Jens Richter completed 132 laps of an ice track,

Porsche Taycan GTS set an impressive Guinness World Record at one of Porsche's most epic locations for driving near the Arctic Circle.

Supervised by Guinness World Records adjudicator Carl Saville, the record was validated using a professional GPS tracking system, which monitored distance traveled, throttle input, steering angle and G-forces. The Taycan GTS remained in its stock configuration, fitted with Michelin tires featuring 1mm spikes.

In total, the £117,500 Taycan EV was travelling sideways for 46 minutes - equivalent to have a football match. But it could have carried on for longer had it not been for one
