Rebecca Lobach, 28, of Durham, North Carolina, was one of three soldiers aboard the helicopter, the Army announced alongside a statement from Lobach's family on Saturday evening. The Army had already identified the other two soldiers.

An American Airlines plane with 64 people on board collided with an Army helicopter over Washington, D.C., and crashed into the Potomac River.

Authorities said the death is not related to the American Airlines and Black Hawk helicopter collision that happened on Wednesday night.
