It’s been an action-packed summer for writer/director James Gunn, who follows his recent big-screen reboot of Superman with a fun second season of absurdist comic book caper, Peacemaker. The twist is that Peacemaker season two (Sky Max) is a distinct improvement on his exhaustingly enthusiastic Man of Steel do-over.

Obsessed Peacemaker fan Adrian Chase invites himself to Project Butterfly, but he proves to be an asset. Vigilante’s biggest moment comes when he nearly sacrifices himself to help defeat White Dragon, Peacemaker’s dad. In Season 2, Vigilante will continue to be his friend’s side through thick and thin.
