Sen. Nicole Mitchell, a Woodbury Democrat who was found guilty of first-degree burglary, will resign from the Minnesota Senate, her attorney said.

Mitchell, a first-term Democratic-Farmer-Labor lawmaker from Woodbury, was arrested in April 2024 after breaking into her estranged stepmother’s Detroit Lakes home.
