Several current and former Patriots have spoken out after New England made the call to fire Jerod Mayo after one season on the job.

The Patriots have to avoid becoming a revolving door of head coaching hires because of the devastating impact that could have on the team as a whole. It could hurt quarterback Drake Maye’s development, while also making the team a far less attractive destination for prospective coaches and players.

One of the questions in the aftermath of Mayo's firing is the status of the front office, particularly vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf. During the presser, Kraft not only illustrated that Wolf's job is safe, but noted that he, along with personnel executive Alonzo Highsmith, will help lead the team in their head coaching search.
