Entering the postseason, the Celtics were expected to be back in the NBA Finals for the third time in four seasons. Instead, Boston was upset in the second round and Jayson Tatum suffered a torn Achilles, derailing Boston’s repeat hopes.

If anyone has their finger on the pulse of what is going on with the Boston Celtics behind the scenes, it is Celtics president Rich Gotham. And Gotham recently took some time to get the local media assembled a team community event in Providence, Rhode Island, this past Thursday (Aug. 7).

The team is expected to be without star Jayson Tatum, who suffered an Achilles injury in May during the NBA playoffs.
