U.S. President Donald Trump is calling for a deal on the war in Gaza. In between posts about a Senate vote on his tax cuts and spending bill, Trump pleaded early Sunday on his social media platform Truth Social for a deal and the release of hostages.

The evacuation order covered the Jabalia area and most Gaza City districts. Medics and residents said the Israeli army's bombardments escalated in the early hours in Jabalia, destroying several houses and killing at least six people.

Israel’s military issued on Sunday an evacuation order for the northern Gaza Strip, warning Palestinians in parts of Gaza City and nearby areas of imminent action there, more than 20 months into the war with Hamas.
