North Texas' extreme cold snap had the region under a weather advisory for much of the long weekend, but relief is on the way. Tuesday morning’s wind chill was projected to be in the low teens, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office,

Snow accumulations of 1-4 inches are expected as a winter storm blows through Dallas-Fort Worth Thursday into Friday.

The OAG's annual ranking of the world's busiest airports is out, and Dallas-Fort Worth landed in the top five.

U-Haul also said the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex was the leading growing metro of 2024, based on the amount of U-Haul customers taking one-way equipment into and out of metro areas last year. The year prior, DFW was ranked No. 9.

The deep freeze is here and besides some clouds, there will be a few hours on Monday that will be above freezing temperatures. There may be some flurries tonight, but light snow is expected south of the metroplex.
