The Chicago Bears selected Michigan tight end Colston Loveland with the 10th overall pick, which marked the first time since Mike Ditka (fifth overall, 1961) that Chicago drafted a tight end in the Top 10.

The Chicago Bears picked tight end Colston Loveland out of the University of Michigan at No. 10 for their first round pick Thursday night. Loveland was born and raised on a farm in the small town of Bliss, Idaho. He grew up wrangling horses and raising sheep but also loved basketball and football.
