Intuitive Machines collected some data for NASA before calling an early end of mission at 12:15 a.m. CST Friday.

The Blue Ghost lunar lander has captured a striking up-close view of Earth's cosmic neighbor as it prepares in the days ahead to land on the moon.

The IM-2 lander is believed to have reached the moon's south pole region, but its precise position and location are unclear. Its intended landing area was Mons Mouton, an area believed to have water ice deposits.
