WASHINGTON - Former First Lady Michelle Obama won’t be attending President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on Jan. 20., her office said. Her office did not provide a reason for why she will skip the inauguration.

The planned absence Monday follows another notable absence last week at the state funeral of former president Jimmy Carter.

The black-and-white photo of Trump shows the soon-to-be 47th president with a stern expression and a closed mouth, resembling his famous mug shot.

Trump will then give his second inaugural address on the presidential inaugural platform to thousands of spectators on the National Mall and viewers across the world.
