The federal government shut down after midnight Oct. 1, potentially affecting thousands of federal workers in Minnesota.

Kwik Trip bought land in Stearns and Sherburne counties. A spokesperson said new locations are expected in fall 2026.

The move was prompted by the firm's fast growth, as it has expanded from a two-person team in 2022 to 14 employees this year.
