October baseball is here! Major League Baseball’s postseason will officially get underway on Tuesday, September 30 with the start of the Wild Card Series. The field for the postseason came down to the final day of the regular season with the Reds locking up the final playoff spot in the National League due to winning the season series against the Mets. The Brewers and the Phillies secured the top two seeds in the National League and will receive first round byes. The Cubs will host the Padres in the 4-5 matchup while the Reds will travel to Los Angeles to take on the defending champion Dodgers. Over in the American League, the Toronto Blue Jays and Seattle Mariners will receive first round byes as the top two seeds. The Tigers will travel to Cleveland to take on the surging Guardians in an AL Central matchup. The other AL Wild Card series will feature another postseason matchup between the Red Sox and the Yankees.
