Dallas is exploring high-profile candidates for its head coaching vacancy, with one name standing out for his defensive pedigree and championship credentials.
“Cowboys now have completed an in-person interview with former Jets HC Robert Saleh for their head coaching position,” ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported on Saturday. The team conducted a virtual interview with its former offensive coordinator, current Philadelphia Eagles OC Kellen Moore, on Friday.

Robert Saleh didn’t get the job he wanted, but the job he accepted could lead to a gig he desires next year. Saleh rejoined the San Francisco 49ers as their defensive coordinator Friday and the announcement was made shortly after the last of the three head-coaching openings for which he was a candidate was filled.
