One of the six people severely injured in a Hawaii fireworks explosion and flown to Phoenix for treatment has died.
Another person has died as a result of a fireworks blast in Hawaii that left over 20 people dead or wounded, according to authorities.
Even though all six patients are still intubated and in a medically induced coma, they are “all on course” to recovery, said the Arizona Burn Center.
A fifth person has died from injuries suffered during a massive explosion of illegal fireworks at a Honolulu home over New Year’s.
The Arizona Burn Foundation is providing accommodation in the Phoenix area for 20 family members of these six survivors.

TUBA CITY, Ariz. — A deadly crash has restricted access to the southbound lanes of US 89 in northern Arizona. The Arizona Department of Public Safety said a two-vehicle collision was reported Friday morning near milepost 479, south of the Tuba City Airport. At least one fatality has been reported.
