Moore's brother-in-law and drummer Griffin "Griff" Goldsmith of the band Dawes took to Instagram to praise Duff for letting Moore stay with her after the family's home was deemed uninhabitable. Moore is married to Dawes singer Taylor Goldsmith and the pair share three children.

In an Instagram post shared Tuesday, Moore's brother-in-law Griffin Goldsmith, whose home also burned down from the fires, expressed gratitude to Duff and her family for their generosity.

Griffin revealed in a recent Instagram post that Duff and her husband Matthew Koma opened their home to Moore’s family in their time of need. Duff and Koma also helped launch a GoFundMe campaign for Griffin’s own family since they, too, lost their home to the flames.
