The origin of the traffic is on I-95 South near the Ogeechee River in Bryan County. GDOT video shows officials have closed off two lanes forcing drivers onto the far right lane. The backup has created near standstill traffic on the southbound side, nearly to Port Wentworth and the South Caroline state line.

The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced that it’s working to come up with a different schedule for a bridge maintenance project on Interstate 95 over the Ogeechee River. Daytime construction over the weekend forced busy southbound travel to be reduced to a single lane leading to nearly standstill traffic for almost 10 miles.

The DA said the use of force was "objectively reasonable." The man's family attorney called the decision “a devastating failure of justice.”
