The Las Vegas Raiders could be the team that adds Shedeur Sanders in Day 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft. During an appearance on NFL Draft Kickoff, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that the Raiders are a "legitimate" landing spot for the Colorado quarterback.

President Donald Trump posted a firm endorsement of the Colorado quarterback on Truth Social hours before Day 2 of the draft, urging teams to draft him early in the second round and praising his genes as the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer and Colorado head coach Deion Sanders:

Once considered a contender to be the No. 1 overall pick, the Colorado quarterback was not selected in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Sanders — the son of Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders — was passed on by quarterback-needy teams including the Giants, Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints and Pittsburgh Steelers.
