A ndrew Bailey, who serves as the Missouri attorney general, has been appointed as co-deputy director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, according to Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche.

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey is joining the Justice Department as the co-deputy director of the FBI, he announced Monday.

“My life has been defined by a call to service, and I am once again answering that call, this time at the national level,” Bailey said in a news release announcing his departure.
