BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Ashton Jeanty, who rushed for the second-most yards in a season in major-college football history and was runner-up for the Heisman Trophy, will leave Boise State to enter the NFL draft.

Boise State star running back Ashton Jeanty is declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft, he announced on social media. The decision comes after a standout junior season in which he ran for 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns.

He had offers from Kansas and Ohio State, among others, but opted to sign with Boise State in November 2022. While redshirting, he was stuck watching from the bench as Boise State crashed out of the NCAA Tournament at the first hurdle for the third year in a row,
