LAKETON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Over 3,000 customers are out of power in Muskegon due to a scheduled equipment replacement, according to Consumers Energy. The scheduled outage began around 8:30 p.m.

The outages come as high winds are forecast to continue across much of Michigan throughout the day, with sustained winds of 25 to 35 mph and gusts topping 60 mph.

A big power outage area in Mid-Michigan was caused by a combination of ice from Friday's event and Sunday's freezing rain.
