Southeastern Colorado residents were ordered to evacuate Sunday afternoon as the rapidly growing Sharpe fire in Oklahoma spread across the state line, according to emergency officials.

Update: “The SEK Wildland Task Force [arrived and]have deployed to Ashland, Kansas with the task of Fire Control and Extinguishment. Ashland is just north of the Oklahoma pan handle border.”

Five wildfires are burning across Texas, including four in the Panhandle, as crews work to contain blazes ranging from 1,500 to 23,000 acres.

A train trestle was destroyed by one of the wildfires that have been raging across the Texas Panhandle in recent days.
