The New York Rangers will spend at least the next week without either star goaltender Igor Shesterkin or top defender Adam Fox.

The injury to New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin may not be quite as bad if one medical expert's opinion rings true.

New York Rangers goalie Igor Shesterkin was helped off the ice on Monday, Jan. 5, after a collision in the crease. Utah Mammoth forward JJ Peterka appeared to make only minimal contact with Shesterkin as he attempted to stop, but the goalie fell backward into his net and slammed his blocker on the ice in pain.
