In a surprising turn of events, seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton crashed on his third day of testing for Scuderia Ferrari. The incident took place at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, during the team's private running.

When Scuderia Ferrari announced on February 1, 2024 that Lewis Hamilton would join their Formula 1 team in 2025, the F1 world was turned on its head. Now, after arriving in Maranello, Italy earlier this week, the brand has offered up a first look at the end result: Hamilton behind the wheel of a Ferrari F1 car.

When news emerged on Wednesday that Lewis Hamilton had crashed the 2023 Ferrari car in a private test in Barcelona, the natural response was that his acclimatisation in scarlet red wasn’t quite going according to plan.
