Ahead of Netanyahu’s U.N. speech, his office announced the unveiling of a “public diplomacy campaign” in New York City. They organized billboards and trucks to display the message: “Remember October 7” in Times Square and around the U.N. building.

The address, which began at 9 a.m., has so far largely focused on perceived threats against Israel in the Middle East.

Surrounded by critics and protesters at the United Nations, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told fellow world leaders that Israel “must finish the job” against Hamas in Gaza.

The protesters have been critical of Netanyahu for not yet securing the return of the remaining Israeli hostages.
