At 14 years old, Moussa Diabaté moved to the United States to take the next step in his basketball journey. This meant leaving his family and friends in France as he chased his NBA dream.

“Moussa grew up playing on public courts in Paris; far from this one, but at the same time, all too familiar,” Clippers president of business operations Gillian Zucker said.

Moussa Diabaté's hometown is Paris, according to his college profile. He was one of the top power forwards in the 2021 class and a five-star recruit by ESPN, Rivals, and 247Sports.

Diabate was unable to finish the alley-oop and instead threw up a floater near the rim that missed. In his first game, Moussa was primarily used as a screener.

This summer, Moussa Diabate returned to Paris for the first time in two years. Standing 6-foot-11, now home again, he wrapped those endless arms around his mother.
