A Michigan man won $1 million after he was accidentally given the wrong lottery ticket. Then, when he discovered his big win, he put the ticket in a jar and buried it in his yard to keep it safe.

An Oakland County man is nearly $430,000 richer after an April 1 lottery win. The 63-year-old player told Michigan Lottery officials he wants to remain anonymous after the Fantasy 5 win using 09-14-21-35-36. He bought his $1 ticket online and told state officials he’s been an avid lottery player for years, buying tickets online or at area stores.

"I was so paranoid something would happen to it if I kept it in the house," the winner said about his lucky ticket.
