Update: Nearly fully contained – Bonanza Fire in El Dorado County now at 98%
Bonanza Fire initially started 2:31 p.m. June 17 in El Dorado County, California. It has burned 181.2 acres after being active for four days. By Saturday morning, 98% of the fire was brought under containment. The cause of it is still under investigation.
The Bonanza Fire spread at least 80 acres in the Shingle Springs area of El Dorado County, California, according to Cal Fire.
