The Chicago Bears defense dominated from the start against coach Ben Johnson's offense to begin training camp Wednesday as Caleb Williams' first pass was picked off by Tremaine Edmunds.
Meanwhile, tight end Colston Loveland was limited and Ozzy Trapilo got the first shot at starting left tackle.
Odunze, the 9th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, experienced the normal rookie wide receiver learning curve last season when he finished with just 54 catches for 734 yards and three touchdowns. While his season was far from a failure, it did fall way short of several other rookie wideouts' production.
On Tuesday, Chicago waived defensive tackle Jereme Robinson, a former football and basketball standout at Carver High School in Montgomery. Robinson was the only player on the team’s roster with Alabama football roots.
Bears quarterback Case Keenum has been activated from the NFI list and will be full-go when Chicago kicks off training camp this week.
